Electrical Testing & Inspection

To meet your health and safety obligations as a landlord or business owner you will need certain electrical inspections and reports. If it has a current, we can test if for you. We offer portable appliance testing (PAT) and periodic inspections.

Portable appliance testing (PAT)
As a business owner you’re responsible for the safety of your electrical equipment. PAT testing verifies appliance safety. How often you have your appliances PAT tested depends on the type of appliance, or you may have your own schedule of inspection for all appliances on your premises.

Electrical installation condition reports (EICR) / Periodic inspection reports (PIR)

Note: A periodic inspection report (PIR) is also referred to as the electrical installation condition report (EIRC).

Commercial buildings and most rented properties require regular electrical installation inspections. How often you need to conduct the inspections depends on the building and what it’s used for.

We’ll need to disconnect the mains to conduct the inspection and can advise you how long we’ll need. To minimise the time the building is without power we can do the testing for the EICR over a weekend, at night or in the early morning.
